Hi! My name is Alaia (uh-lay-uh) and I’m the founder and owner of the brand Being Alaia. Being Alaia started out (and still is) a lifestyle blog all about my journey to Authentic-City (get it?) and self discovery.
For a very long time, I felt like it was wrong for me to accept myself and my existence. This often led to be to existential unravelling, depression, and anxiety.
It wasn’t until I decided that I no longer wanted to feel that way that I started to head down the path of living authentically and stepping into my birthright of becoming a creator of my own life.
Since starting this new journey, I found that I am much happier and content with the life that I have. It is a monumental difference than what I was used to feeling all the time and I found out how to create my own happiness. Now I want to help you all to do the same.
Being Alaia Journals
The biggest thing that helped me start this journey was journaling. Without it, I don’t think I would be where I am today.
I think people underestimate the value of writing. As a writer myself, all I do is imagine things as words, thoughts, and feelings. I paint word pictures in my head all day, describing what I see in an internal monologue.
I use journaling to make those thoughts physical. I practice self reflection through journaling, I write poems and short stories in my journal, I plan out my day in my journals. I literally use a journal for everything.
Because journaling has been so helpful for me, I thought I’m sure there are more people who can benefit from journaling.
So to help others live authentically, value their existence, and accept themselves in ways that I once could not, I started my own business, Being Alaia. And an extension of this business will be selling journals designed by me.
